What we offer

1. Network

The more people you know, the higher your chances of success. We connect you to our unrivalled community of customers, investors and advisors across EMEA and the US. We facilitate introductions to VCs, angel investors, large-enterprise CISOs and leading figures from government and industry able to help you take your business to the next level.

2. International Exposure

Our unique global community is positioned to help you scale internationally. Through our network, we can facilitate connections to leading investors and buyers in important international markets, and at top events like RSA and Infosecurity Europe. Wherever you join us you’ll benefit from access to this community as your company grows.

3. Funding

You will receive a small initial investment at the start of the programme. This early funding provides runway for the duration of the programme, so you can focus on nurturing your contacts and perfecting your technology. Throughout the programme, we introduce you to a variety of other investors so you can build the relationships you need to achieve your future funding rounds.

4. Infrastructure

Office space: We provide you and your team co-working space for the duration of the programme.

Workshops: We provide sessions on a variety of business areas, including sales & marketing, business development, operations, recruitment, pricing, and more. Our workshops are delivered by industry specialists and experienced entrepreneurs.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Our definition of “cyber security” is very broad. To date we’ve supported startups in fields including Blockchain, Skills, IOT, Compliance, Insurance, Data Protection, Privacy, Risk, Identity, Cloud Security, Human Risk and much more. We welcome applications from any company which ultimately helps to secure the digital economy.

Team

We aren’t limited by geography and welcome applications from teams all over the world. We ask that you have a minimum of two full-time people, and that at least one is based in either London or Singapore for the duration of the programme.

Product

We ask that you have at least a Minimum Viable Product before you apply. Many of our companies are already in market when they join but there is no need to have secured customers or investment.

Anthony is Professor of Software Systems engineering at University College London (UCL) and HM Government Chief Scientific Adviser for National Security. His scientific work is in the broad area of software development tools and processes. Before being appointed to his current role, he was the Head of UCL Computer Science and then Dean of the UCL Faculty of Engineering Sciences. He has served on the editorial boards of ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, as a Member of Council of the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and was a Founder Trustee of the Alan Turing Institute. He is active as an entrepreneur and is the founder of several start-ups.

Anthony is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng). He is also an elected Member of Academia Europaea and a Fellow of the City and Guilds of London Institute. He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to computer science and engineering.

Brian leads the global security practice for DBO partners, a leading boutique investment bank. Prior to DBO, Brian served as a vice president at Forcepoint, which he joined following the acquisition of RedOwl, a security analytics firm. At RedOwl, Brian served as the COO and a member of the Board of Directors where he managed day-to-day operations, led all go-to-market activities, and drove the strategic direction of the business. During his time at RedOwl, Brian raised more than $30M in venture capital, led their expansion into the UK, and ultimately led the acquisition process which resulted in a sale to Raytheon/Forcepoint.

Prior to RedOwl, Brian was a partner of the Chertoff Group where he led their global advisory business and established and built out their San Francisco office. Prior to his time at the Chertoff Group, Brian led a $100M business development and strategy team for Lockheed Martin. Brian also served as a senior official at the Department of Homeland Security, where he concluded his tenure as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary. Other notable positions include serving as the Chief of Staff in the Office of Policy; and serving as the Congressionally mandated Director of Cargo, Maritime, and Trade Security policy. Brian also served as a Professional Staff Member in both the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives as well as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Brian currently serves as Senior Associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he was a member of the Commission of Cybersecurity for the 45th President. Brian is a frequent speaker on cyber issues including regular appearances on Bloomberg Technology.

Prior to joining Vodafone, Maureen was Chief Operating Officer for Verizon’s global Managed Security Services program.

Maureen holds an engineering degree from the University of Michigan, is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds several cybersecurity certifications including a Certified Information Security Systems Professional and GIAC Security Leadership Certification.
